The College of Islamic Sciences, University of Diyala, discussed a master’s thesis tagged (settlement of reward between promise and threat in the Holy Quran, an objective study)
The student (Zainab Hassan Nasser), headed by Prof. Dr. (Fadel Ahmed Hussein), Assistant Prof. Dr. (Shaker Mahmoud Mahdi) as a member, Assistant Prof. Dr. (Haqqi Hamdi Khalaf) as a member, and Prof. Dr. (Raad Talib Karim) as a member and supervisor

The thesis dealt with the reality of the reward between the promise and the threat (reward and punishment) in the Qur’an and Sunnah, and this would lead to the disclosure of all religious circumstances, and that is based on the fact that the Holy Qur’an has contrasted between the promise and the threat, and this is what you can see from the methodology of the Qur’an and its habit of enticing Man and intimidate him in order to achieve material and spiritual balance in the paths he takes, and the choices he makes in the light of the Qur’anic vision, which scholars and commentators saw as revealing what a person’s destiny will be, whether in this world or in the hereafter.
Reward and punishment are one of the means of education that the Holy Qur’an adopts to protect society from the dangers of deviation and anomaly, to discipline the offender and to intimidate him from committing a crime, and to urge the believer to adhere to his religion, and motivate him to do more good deeds, desiring what is with his Lord, and hoping for His pardon and forgiveness. Islam lays down legislations and laws. Precautionary and repressive measures guarantee the safety of society and the safety of individuals from various violations and crimes.

The aim of the study is to show the relationship between the words of promise, threat, reward, and reward in the Holy Qur’an, and to show the effect of promise and threat on man by presenting the holy Quranic verses, and to show that reward and punishment are of the kind of work, and it is a firm rule by which the absolute justice of God Almighty is achieved.

The study concluded that the nation can protect itself from hypocrisy through the faith education of the nation’s members, the struggle of the hypocrites with argument, and harshness against them with all boldness and courage to purify the nation from them
In our contemporary reality, one must strive until he reaches his right, and be steadfast on the truth and not abandon it no matter how much that costs him in terms of soul and preciousness, and he must look at the stories of the predecessors in order to follow their example in their steadfastness and patience upon the truth, and realize what they have sacrificed for their patience and steadfastness upon the truth.

The study recommended that students of forensic science focus in their theses and scientific research on selecting topics that would increase their faith and the faith of its readers, and work on the adherence of the youth of this nation to the morals of the Noble Qur’an and the morals of our great Messenger, as the real crisis that the nation suffers from on this day is A crisis of morals, virtue and lack of fear of God Almighty.
After extensive discussion, the Scientific Committee took the effort made by the student and gave her a full appreciation.
